In commemoration of National Technology Day, BM Birla Heart Hospital, India’s first NABH-accredited hospital renowned for its excellence in cardiac care, has embraced technology with a ‘digital first’ initiative “Enhanced Cardiac Care” Program. Dozee’s AI-based Contactless Remote Patient Monitoring and Early Warning System are being integrated into all ward beds, marking a significant step towards preventive and proactive care, focusing on continuous monitoring to identify and address clinical deterioration early. The hospital is implementing a strategic move to prioritize preventive and proactive care over reactive responses, leveraging data-driven technology to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
BM Birla Heart Hospital is implementing the ‘Enhanced Cardiac Care’ Program, which integrates Dozee technology with medical expertise. The system allows healthcare workers to remotely monitor patients’ vital parameters, including heart rate, respiration rate, blood pressure, SPO2 levels, temperature, and ECG.
Dozee’s Early Warning System (EWS) tracks trends and alerts healthcare providers for early detection of patients’ clinical deterioration. Research by Sattva shows that for every 100 Dozee-connected beds, it saves 144 lives, 80% of nurses’ vitals time, and reduces ICU ALOS by 1.3 days. Dr. Anjan Siotia, Director of the Cardiology Department, BM Birla Heart Hospital, Kolkata, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, “By embracing cutting-edge technology, we are not only enhancing patient safety but also setting new benchmarks for cardiac care delivery.”
