The Indian Army’s sustained outreach and mentoring initiatives in the remote pockets of West Siang have led to another noteworthy achievement. Three young candidates from the Aalo region — Jari Bagra, Toni Doji, and Yumper Nada — have cleared the Agniveer recruitment process and are set to report to the Recruiting Office, Jorhat, on 04 December 2025 for their enrolment into the Assam Regiment.
Coming from the villages of Along and Basar, these aspirants battled geographical challenges and limited resources, relying solely on dedication, discipline and hard work. Their success highlights the effectiveness of the Army’s continuous mentoring, structured guidance and efforts to uplift motivated youth from the remote areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
To honour their accomplishment, a felicitation ceremony was held on 03 December 2025, recognising their perseverance and motivating other youngsters across the state to chase their goals with determination.
The Indian Army continues to empower border communities, ensuring opportunities reach even the most isolated regions. The achievement of these three youths stands as a powerful example of how support, resilience and commitment can transform lives.
