BSF Guwahati Frontier conducts ‘Fit India Freedom Run’

To promote fitness, the Border Security Force Guwahati Frontier conducted 05 Km “Fit India Freedom Run” at Patgaon, Guwahati on 19 Sept’ 2020 under the Fit India Movement to make India a healthy nation.
On 19 th Sept 2020, Frontier HQ Border Security Force Patgaon Guwahati conducted a “Fit India Freedom Run” started from Frontier HQ BSF Patgaon to Rani Sajanpara road covering a distance of 05 Km under overall supervision of Shri Rajesh Kumar, IPS, Inspector General BSF Guwahati Frontier. The Run was flagged off by Shri K K Gulia, Deputy Inspector General (PSO) Border Security Force, Guwahati Frontier. 150 participants
including Officers, Subordinate officers, Jawans of BSF, Composite Hospital and 1 st Bn NDRF Patgaon, Guwahati by observing COVID-19 protocols, took part.
.During the programme Shri K K Gulia, Deputy Inspector General (PSO) said that during the present scenario and lifestyle, we have forgotten our health for money but health is our real wealth. To keep ourselves fit, it is sole responsibility of individual concerned. He added that “This occasion provides us an opportunity to re-affirm the inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the actual and potential threats to the unity, integrity and security of our country.
Fit India Freedom Run is a unique initiative to engage people towards fitness during their home stay due to COVID 19 outbreak. In order to create awareness amongst the masses with regard to ” Fit India Freedom Run”which was started from August 15, 2020 and going to culminate on 2 nd October, 2020 under the aegis of the Ministry of Sports.
