The role of smartphones in bridging the digital divide in India is undeniable. Affordable equipment is essential to bringing India online. Sanmeet Kochhar, vice president of HMD Global, Nokia Home of Mobile Phones, said that the 150 million devices shipped in 2020 show how people regard smartphones as essential items.
