Zinc futures prices upgrade on high demand

New Delhi, June 18: Zinc prices rose by Rs 1.10 to Rs 253.60 per kg in futures trade on Wednesday on strong spot demand. The price of zinc contract for July delivery on the Multi Commodity Exchange rose by Rs 1.10 or 0.44 per cent to Rs 253.60 per kg in a business turnover of 1,790 lots. Zinc prices rose in futures trade as participants increased their deal sizes following a pick-up in demand from consuming industries, market sources said.

Aluminium futures prices decay on weak demand

New Delhi, June 17: Aluminium prices fell by 95 paise to Rs 242.35 per kg in futures trade on Monday as participants cut their positions following a weak trend in the spot market. Aluminium contracts for July delivery fell by 95 paise, or 0.39 percent, to Rs 242.35 per kg on the Multi Commodity Exchange in a business of 1,538 lots. Analysts said aluminium prices fell mainly due to participants cutting their positions due to sluggish demand from consumer industries.
