Abbott’s Project Ksheersagar is making waves in India’s dairy sector by empowering farmers, improving milk production, and creating a resilient supply chain for nutrition products. Launched in 2022 in partnership with international non-profit TechnoServe, the initiative currently reaches over 12,000 dairy farmers and 51,000 dairy animals across Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. The program focuses on farmer training in dairy farm management, financial literacy, and business practices. Infrastructure support, including 130 village-based milk collection centers with cold storage, has enabled farmers to increase milk production by 55%, reduce veterinary costs by 60%, and double their incomes.
