Buyers & Sellers Meet to revive the business of small Garments traders ahead of the upcoming festivals

COVID-19 pandemic has affected the entire business community. Especially from the last two years, the Garments traders have been the most affected by Corona. The situation is that due to heavy losses due to Corona, small Garments traders have reached the verge of extinction completely. In such a situation, a Garments Fair named Buyers and Sellers meet has been organized by the North Eastern Garments Traders Association (NEGTA) with the aim of giving a new shape to the small garments traders. Keeping this in mind, a three-day Buyers and Sellers meet was organized by NEGTA from Saturday.

Under the aegis of NEGTA, the 42nd Buyers and Sellers Meet was inaugurated today by lighting the lamp in front of Lord Ganesha. On the occasion of the inauguration, the president of the organization, Shekhar Agarwal said that in the last few years our garments industry has suffered a lot of problems. Online business has affected our trade badly. Since its inception, North Eastern Garment Traders Association (NEGTA) Buyers and Sellers meet, Organised Twice a Year, is India’s most Respected Garment Fair connecting the National and Regional Brands, Manufacturers, Designers of Apparel and Fashion Accessories to the North East Retailers and their Distribution Channels including High Street Retailers, Agents & Distributors. Being the Largest Conglomeration of Retailers and Manufacturers, it serves as a Single Sourcing Destination, thereby infusing efficiency of time and cost.

Speaking on the occasion Secretary of NEGTA Mr. Varun Rungta said this time the 42nd Garment meet has been organized keeping in mind the upcoming festivals and Spring-Summer collection. On behalf of NEGTA, this meet was organized at Hotel Daaysco. While as associate Venue Hotel Atithi, Hotel Vishwaratna, Hotel Dynasty, Hotel Rajmahal, Ambiance Banquet, Hotel Millenium and Aashi Apsara Banquet. More than 50 Garments traders from different states are participating with more than 500+ brands of national and international level showcasing their new collection for Women’s, Men’s, Children’s apparels, footwear and accessories. In this three-day meet, more than 500 small and big traders from Northeastern region including Assam will be there for booking according to their need in view of the upcoming festival and Autumn Winter Seasons. Keeping in mind the small traders from Rural Areas NEGTA organises Buyers and Sellers Meet to boost their business. Treasurer Shailesh Goenka said that according to the demand of the traders of Northeast including Assam, garments have been included in this meet. Public Relations Officer of NEGTA Rajiv Ajitsaria said that along with business from time to time, various social works are done on behalf of the organization. During the Corona pandemic, financially weak families were helped towards the organization. NEGTA President Shekhar Agarwal, General Secretary Varun Rungta, Treasurer Shailesh Goenka, Public Relations Officer Rajiv Ajitsaria and all the members are working to make this meet a success.
