Ms. Mamata Banerjee said, By Sunday, if the case is not cracked, we will hand over the investigation to the CBI

As protests kept going on in an extreme way over the alleged rape and murder of a doctor at Kolkata R G Kar Medical College and Hospital, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Monday gave police a seven-day deadline to make developments in the case, instantly after which she would hand over the investigation to the CBI.
“I want the police to arrest the victims as soon as possible. By Sunday, if they would not be able to crack the case, then I will hand over the investigation to the CBI… because insiders may be involved in it,” Ms. Mamata Banerjee said.
