The Byatikram International Writers’ Meet 4.0, organised by Byatikram Group and supported by NEDFi, IDFC, and Three Leaves, concluded successfully after four days of literary exchange, cultural immersion, and global dialogue. The event attracted renowned writers, poets, and intellectuals from 10 countries, including Greece, Iraq, Australia, Philippines, Vietnam, Tunisia/UK, Romania, Spain, and Bangladesh, alongside celebrated Indian authors like Prof. (Dr.) Suman Gun, Ashok Chakraborty, and Bikash Sarkar.
The delegates were welcomed on 24th November at the Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Memorial, followed by a luncheon at Vaibhavam and the Globals Honors Night at Mayfair Spring Valley Resort, Sonapur. The program featured intellectually stimulating panel discussions at NEDFi Hall, Dispur, poetry recitations, cultural tours including Zubeen Kshetra and Mahabahu Brahmaputra Heritage Centre, and book launches like Benge Achi Tai and Bemused Time. High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, Mr. M. Riaz Hamidullah, praised the event for strengthening cross-cultural understanding.
The meet highlights Assam’s emergence as a centre for international creative collaboration, attracting literary and business interests from eastern India, and fostering opportunities for cultural tourism and literary commerce.
The four-day gathering concluded on 27th November with a valedictory ceremony, leaving a lasting mark on global literary networking and positioning Guwahati as a hub for future international cultural engagements.
