BYJU’S and RILM’s partnership to empower students

The BYJU’S ‘Education for All’ initiative has announced a three-year partnership with Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM) to positively impact 1.5 lakh children from underserved communities across the country by 2023. They will work towards providing tech-driven digital learning tools to students in classes 4 to 12 across the country by giving them free access to BYJU’S high-quality learning programs and engaging content. BYJU has already issued 100 tablets and licenses to students from lesser-served communities in Hyderabad. The initiative will soon spread its wings across the rest of the country in a phased manner. With a mission to empower 10 million underprivileged children by 2025, the initiative has already impacted 3.4 million children in the remotest corners of the country through 120+ NGOs across 26+ states and 340+ districts.

The Rotary India Literacy Mission (RILM), formerly known as Rotary South Asia Society for Development and Cooperation (RSAS), aims to work towards Total literacy and Quality Education in India. It has designed a comprehensive program called ‘T-E-A-C-H’, where T – Teacher Support, E – E-Learning, A – Adult Literacy, C – Child Development, H – Happy School, wherein each program is interlinked with the other and has a specific focus of working towards achieving the common goal of bringing total literacy and improving learning outcomes of school education across the country.

The Chairman of Rotary India Literacy Mission Kamal Sanghvi said, “We are hopeful to meet our target of empowering over 1.5 lakh students by 2023 by providing them with digital learning tools packed with BYJU’S high-quality learning programs.”
