Cartoon show ‘Doraemon’ lesson saved this boy during house collapse

6 yr old boy Mustafa has sustained a building collapse in the incident he lost his mom Uzma and grandmom Begum Haider.

Mustafa, who is among 14 survivors, is at present under treatment at the SPM Civil Hospital and is said to be out of danger.

The boy stated that he learnt the lessons from his favourite cartoon show Doraemon that helped him saved his life.

“I was terrified but I recalled an episode of the cartoon show ‘Doraemon’ in which Nobita (the central character of the series) was taught about protecting himself during an earthquake by taking shelter in corners or under the bed. Without wasting a second, I took shelter under the bed,” Mustafa recounted.

Mustafa’s dad Abbas Haidar, who is a Samajwadi Party spokesperson, was not present at house during the time of the collapse, while his grandfather, Amir Haidar, a veteran Congress leader, has sustained the collapse and is out of danger.
