Bandhan Bank crosses the milestone of 3 crore customers

Bandhan Bank reported strong growth in the fourth quarter of 2022-23, with over 3 crore customers on books and a total business of Rs. 2.17 lakh crore.  Distribution growth and a favorable operating environment were the driving forces behind this. On March 31, 2023, Bandhan Bank’s overall business (deposits and advances) increased 11% year over year to reach Rs. 2.17 lakh crore. The Bank provides banking services to more than 3 crore people across 6000 locations in 34 Indian states and union territories.

During the final quarter of FY23, the Bank’s deposit book grew 12%, with the current account and savings account (CASA) ratio at 39.3%. With respect to advances, the bank saw 10% growth, with the total advances at Rs.1.09 lakh crores. The capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) is 19.8%, much higher than the regulatory requirement. The Bank is expanding its presence in new verticals, including SME Loans, Gold Loans, Personal Loans, and Auto Loans.
