Huge celebrations took place in the house of those workers who had spent their hard times in the collapsed part of Uttarakashi’s Silkyara tunnel for 17 days.
The team members of 22 agencies NDRF, BRO, Indian Army, Indian Air Force, NHIDCL, SJVNL, THFCL, RVNL, ONGC, Coal India and others worked hard under the rescue operation which was of 400 hours and finally succeeded in rescuing them safely on Tuesday night (28th December 2023).
Actor Akshay Kumar took to Instagram to express his happiness and pride, commending and applauding the full hearted efforts of the rescue team engaged in this remarkable and challenging operation. The actor, “Am completely overwhelmed with happiness and relief to know of the rescue of 41 trapped men. A big salute to every member of the rescue team. Kamaal kar diya. This is a new India and we all feel so proud. Jai Hind.”
Jackie took to Instagram Story and shared a picture of rescuers.
