A new Aadhaar Seva Kendra is set to open in Aizawl by March 31, 2026, to boost enrollment in Mizoram. During a UIDIC meeting, Deputy Director General Ngachan Zimik detailed the enrollment progress, highlighting trends and the need for focused efforts, especially for children aged 0-5 through Birth Registration Based Aadhaar Enrolment (BRBAE). The Chief Secretary, Khilli Ram Meena, directed heightened use of enrollment kits and emphasized improving enrollment in low-saturation districts like Hnahthial and Lawngtlai. Coordinated efforts among the government departments and the UIDAI are essential for success.
