Chief Minister argues political parties to support BJP

On Thursday, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma argued that all parties in the northeast region participating in the elections should maintain their support for the BJP as Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the country’s “supreme leader” and everyone supports him in the region, the chief minister told reporters.

Sarma said, “Before contesting elections in the northeast, all parties must understand that water will flow into the sea. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the tallest leader, everyone likes him.”

Reporters asked the Assam chief minister if the development in Nagaland signaled the return of JD(U) supremo and Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar to the BJP-led NDA. On which he had nothing to comment, he declined.
