Chief Minister Lalduhoma announced the formation of service review committees across all government departments to evaluate and enhance the efficiency of Mizoram’s workforce. Speaking at the Mizoram Secretariat Service Association conference on November 8, Lalduhoma stressed the importance of a qualified and capable workforce for the state’s development.
“Service review committees will assess employees’ performance, identifying those unable to fulfill their duties or deemed unfit to continue. This ensures that only competent individuals serve the state,” the Chief Minister stated.
The initiative reflects the government’s commitment to raising service standards, with Lalduhoma noting that an improvement in employee performance would lead to immediate benefits for the state. This announcement follows the CM’s earlier pledge to consider terminating underperforming employees as part of the state’s broader efforts to build an effective governance system.
