Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha stated the vital role of engineers in the state’s advancement during the Engineers’ Day 2024 celebrations on Sunday. Addressing the gathering at the Institute of Engineers (India) Tripura Centre and Pragna Bhavan, Dr. Saha urged engineers to leverage their expertise to propel Tripura into the national spotlight.

“Engineers are pivotal in positioning Tripura as a leading state in the country,” Dr. Saha stated, highlighting their critical role in recent infrastructure improvements. Dr. Saha praised the contributions of engineers in the construction of six national highways, with four more planned. He emphasized that these achievements have been instrumental in enhancing connectivity from the airport to key locations such as the Tripura Sundari Temple.

“Our engineers have not only uplifted Tripura but have also gained recognition internationally,” Dr. Saha added. “Their talents are evident both within and outside the state. The government is committed to supporting those eager to contribute to Tripura’s progress.”He also highlighted the substantial financial resources allocated in this year’s budget for infrastructure projects. Dr. Saha encouraged engineers working outside the state to return and contribute to Tripura’s development.
