On Wednesday, Arunachal Chief Minister Pema Khandu inaugurated the Tsari Taksing Gajang Shedup Dargeyling Monastery in Taksing, noting its historic significance as a large public gathering in the region. He emphasized the government’s commitment to developing frontier areas, highlighting over 40 initiatives during his visit to the Nacho Assembly constituency. Khandu praised past efforts that have led to significant infrastructure growth, particularly road connectivity established in 2019, which transformed access to the region. He discussed the impact of the nearly 1,800-km Trans-Arunachal Highway on travel times across the state and outlined plans for the Frontier Highway project, stressing the need for public cooperation and transparency in implementation. Khandu asserted a zero-tolerance policy towards corruption and highlighted the benefits of the Vibrant Villages Programme in enhancing connectivity and livelihoods in border areas.
