On Thursday, August 14, Cognizant announced that around 80% of eligible employees will receive merit-based salary hikes starting November 1, 2025. The hikes will apply to roles up to the Senior Associate level, with the amount varying depending on location and individual performance. In India, high-performing employees can expect increases in the high single digits. The company noted that top performers will receive the most substantial hikes and mentioned that many associates have already received their best bonuses over the past three years.
This update follows Cognizant’s strong Q2 results, reporting an 8.1% year-on-year revenue growth to $5.25 billion and a record $27.8 billion in bookings over the past year. The IT firm added 7,500 employees in the last quarter, bringing its total headcount to over 300,000, and plans to hire 15,000 to 20,000 freshers in 2025.
Cognizant is also investing $1 billion in AI to enhance its capabilities, develop AI Labs, and reskill employees. It is promoting a hybrid workforce combining human talent with AI-driven digital agents and has partnered with Google to train 200,000 employees in AI technologies.
