Renowned comedian and YouTuber Devraj Patel of Chhattisgarh died in a road accident on Monday. The YouTuber was going to shoot a video in Raipur.
According to information, Patel was riding a pillion when the accident occurred around 3.30 pm. He was returning from Nava Raipur after shooting a video, an official said. He was hit by a truck and suffered severe injuries to his head and other parts of his body.
The accident took place near Labhandih area under Telibandha police station limits when the motorcycle’s handle hit the truck moving in the same direction and Patel, who was riding on the pillion, came under the rear wheel of the heavy vehicle, the official said.
Bike rider Rakesh Manhar, who survived the accident unhurt, called an ambulance after which Patel was shifted to a hospital where he was declared brought dead, he added.
Hailing from Mahasamund, the young YouTuber rose to fame with his ‘Dil Se Bura Lagata Hai’ video.
Devraj played a student’s role in Bhuvan Bam’s web series Dhindora in 2021.
