Glance, a smart lock screen platform, has unveiled the mystery behind giant buttons labeled ‘unlock,’ ‘download,’ and ‘search’ found in trash bins across India. The buttons were part of a marketing campaign promoting Glance’s feature that eliminates the need to unlock, search, or download on smartphones.
Glance, has released the video which shows photographs and videos of people dumping these symbolic buttons for their smart lock screen, which doesn’t require users to unlock their phones, download, and search to access different content on the internet. The company claims that users don’t need these buttons if they have the Glance smart lock screen. Glance’s smart lock screen platform is available in most leading Android smartphone brands in India and Southeast Asia, with an installed user base of over 450 million. The company also plans to enter other geographies, including the USA.
Bikash Chowdhury, Chief Marketing Officer of Glance, on a LinkedIn post said, “#SimplySmart With Glance Smart Lock Screen everything we seek comes to us on our lock screen, instead of us seeking it. We don’t need to spend any time searching for info, downloading multiple or even unlocking our smartphone.”
