Couple forced to open food stall after business collapses

A food vlogger’s video chronicling a couple’s arduous journey selling rajma chawal has become the ‘definition of reality’ for several social media users. The clip begins with the vlogger revealing that he is selling rajma and kadi chawal in front of a small street stall in Faridabad. The person behind the camera starts asking the vendors about how their business going. The man, busy making an order, reveals that he had a printing press business before the lockdown.

Unfortunately, his business going through huge losses during the Covid-19 pandemic. He was forced to close his business completely. After the COVID-19 lockdown, he was looking for a job to make ends meet. However, after more than six months without any major success, he and his wife decided to start something of their own to earn. Thus began their journey to small roadside stalls, where they sell both Rajma Chawal and Kadi Chawal for Rs 40 each.

The video reveals that the dish comes with a side of salad consisting mainly of radish slices served with home-cooked green chutney. Along with this, the short vlog also shows how the food is plated in the store.

Their story has garnered more than 6.2 lakh views on Instagram in less than a week, along with a flood of comments praising the couple’s undying resilience and spirit.
