Tripura police arrest six Bangladeshi women at MBB Airport

Tripura Police have detained six Bangladeshi nationals at Maharaja Bir Bikram (MBB) Airport in Agartala. The individuals, all women, were apprehended based on a tip-off received by airport authorities. Airport Police Station Officer In-Charge Abhijit Mandal reported that suspicious activity was observed around the airport premises, prompting an investigation. Upon interrogation, the detained women admitted to entering Tripura without passports, confirming their Bangladeshi nationality. The women were reportedly attempting to leave the state for another destination. The police have taken them into custody and are continuing their investigation.
