Cummins India Limited, one of the leading power solutions technology providers in the country, announced the launch of DATUM (Data Automated Teller Ultimate Machine), an intelligent Fuel Management System, in collaboration with Repos Energy at CII EXCON 2023, at Bengaluru International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). As a part of the collaboration, Cummins will market and distribute the DATUM range of products through its vast distribution network in India.
DATUM addresses customer challenges in fuel operations by offering a solution that improves visibility into the downstream diesel value chain, reducing costs and operational efficiency. This solution addresses issues like cumbersome procurement processes, fuel pilferage, high dead-mileage operations, and unbalanced diesel inventory, thereby reducing Total Cost of Ownership and lower profitability.
Commenting on the launch, Vivek Malapati, Vice President, DistributionBusiness, Cummins India Limited, said “Our collaboration with Repos Energy further strengthens our efforts to provide convenience, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness to our customers, helping them to do their bit for environmental sustainability and emission reduction efforts.”
DATUM uses sensors and digital technologies to provide real-time fuel inventory updates, enhancing operational efficiency and reducing carbon footprint. The smart fuel storage solution allows remote monitoring, 24×7 delivery, and improved inventory management, resulting in up to 10% cost reduction and operational uptime.
