Cyclone: Bengal govt asks DMs to join Nabanna meet

Since the beginning of this year, one after another low pressure is flowing over the state. In this situation, the people of Bengal are worried about how the weather will be before Kali Puja. Rumors on social media are that a supercyclone has formed in the ocean. Nabanna is taking special steps for the impending cyclone.

The meteorological department has ordered the strengthening of the infrastructure of Kali Puja pandals. Nabanna has been specifically directed to the districts of South Bengal. District Magistrates have been directed to vigilance.

They have been directed to keep in constant touch with the District Magistrates of North 24 Parganas, South 24 Parganas and Hooghly Disaster Management Department to be specially alerted by Nabanna. Besides, East Medinipur and West Medinipur districts have also been advised to take all steps.
