Cyclone Sitrang affected 83 villages in Assam

Cyclone Sitrang has damaged several houses in Assam due to heavy rains and storm surge.

About 1100 people in 83 villages of Assam have been affected by the flood.

According to reports, 325.501 hectares of crops were damaged by uprooting of numerous trees and electric poles in some parts of Assam.

Several houses were damaged in Kaliabor, Bamuni, Sakmuthia Tea Garden and Boraligaon areas of Central Assam district due to the storm.
