Delhi government launches mega plantation drive

Delhi Environment Minister Gopal Rai has launched mega plantation drive for 15 days to increase green cover in the Delhil.

The ‘Van Mahotsav’, which started from the Central Ridge, will end on July 25 with the planting of one lakh saplings at the Asala Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary.

In delhi Saplings and shrubs of around 35 lakh will be planted this year.

Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Nivas Goyal, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and other ministers will participate in the ‘Van Mahotsav’.
