Dimapur police updated various crime reports under Dimapur district leading to the arrest of various individuals.
Two arrested for extortion: Dimapur police reportedly apprehended one Khetovi Aye (26), Rajapeyu, NSCN-K, of Surumi under Zunheboto, presently residing in Toluvi village Dimapur for demanding money from the business community at NL Road Dimapur. In this connection a case was registered with East PS.
Meanwhile, one Itovi Yepthomi (35), presently residing in Sachu Colony Dimapur was apprehended for collecting money from vegetable vendors at New Market area Dimapur. In this connection, a case was registered with West PS.
Illegal drugs: On February 13, a 26-year old, identified as Bendangmeren Ao, a resident of Chümoukedima was apprehended. Police seized suspected brown sugar weighing seven grams from his possession. In this connection, a case was registered with Diphupar PS. Earlier on February 4, one person identified as Mughavi (35) was arrested for illegal possession of 11 kgs of suspected contraband ganja from 4th Mile area. A case was registered with Diphupar PS.
Stolen vehicle: Police personnel manning Kuhuboto Police out post recovered a stolen Bolero on February 12. The vehicle was later handed over to Dispur police, Assam.
