DMRC responds to viral video of a skimpily clad woman in Delhi Metro

A video showing a short-dressed woman traveling in a Delhi Metro coach has gone viral on the internet, prompting the DMRC to request its passengers to maintain social decorum.

In the unexpected video clip, the female passenger with a rucksack can be seen sitting next to other women inside a coach. After a while, she gets up and walks when she is seen wearing a two-piece dress.

In response to a question about the viral video, the Delhi Metro said in a statement on Monday, “DMRC expects its passengers to follow all social etiquettes and protocols acceptable in the society.

“Passengers should not indulge in any activity or wear any clothing that could hurt the sensibilities of other fellow passengers. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) Operations and Maintenance Act “lists obscenity as an offence punishable under Section 59”, it noted.

“We appeal to all our passengers to kindly maintain decor while traveling in public transport systems like metros. However, issues such as choosing clothes while traveling are a personal matter and passengers are expected to self-regulate their behavior responsibly. method,” the DMRC added.
