Dera Natung Government College (DNGC) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with NESO Fugensus Pvt Ltd to strengthen industry-academia collaboration and create better opportunities for students through internships, entrepreneurship, skill development and sustainable agriculture initiatives.The agreement, signed on Friday, aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical industry experience while preparing students for employment and entrepreneurial careers. The MoU was signed by DNGC Principal Dr M.Q. Khan and NESO Fugensus Pvt Ltd Director Nima Sona in the presence of representatives from both organisations.The partnership has been signed for an initial period of five years and can be renewed with the mutual consent of both parties. Under the agreement, undergraduate and postgraduate students of the college will receive opportunities for internships, industrial exposure and project-based learning to enhance their practical knowledge and professional skills.
Besides internship programmes, the collaboration will include workshops, seminars, faculty and student exchange programmes, and short-term training courses designed to improve academic standards and industry readiness. The two institutions also plan to undertake collaborative research projects, joint publications and academic activities to encourage innovation and knowledge sharing.A major focus of the partnership will be the promotion of organic farming, sustainable agricultural practices and rural entrepreneurship. Through joint initiatives, the college and the company will organise awareness programmes, capacity-building activities and technology transfer programmes to support farmers, self-help groups and rural entrepreneurs across the region.The MoU also includes entrepreneurship development programmes and career guidance initiatives aimed at helping students develop industry-relevant skills and improve their employment prospects.
Speaking on the occasion, DNGC Principal Dr M.Q. Khan said the collaboration would help bridge the gap between classroom education and practical industry experience while opening new avenues for students to build entrepreneurial skills and contribute meaningfully to society.Representatives of NESO Fugensus Pvt Ltd said the company remains committed to promoting sustainable organic agriculture and creating opportunities for young people through innovation, skill development, training and collaborative projects.
