Duliajan missing girl rescued by the help of CM Himanta Biswa Sarma

A girl from Duliajan went missing on January 1; she had gone to tuition and didn’t return back. A missing complaint was filed by her father at Duliajan Police Station of Dibrugarh district. 

Soon the matter was circulated on twitter. The Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma asked the Assam Police to enquire about matter and find the girl as soon as possible.

Guwahati, Dibrugarh and Barpeta police were in full swing to continue the investigation. Within 24 hours after the issue got highlighted on Twitter, the girl was recovered in Bongaigaon. As per high-level police sources, the recovery and safety of the girl were priorities.

According to the report, there are allegations that a local hawker named Jahidul Ali, who belongs to the Barpeta district had allegedly kidnapped the girl. 

 The father of the 17-year-old girl has thanked the Assam CM and the Assam police for the dynamic response. “I would like to thank our CM and the police who acted very quickly and brought back our girl,” Bharat Agarwal, the victim’s father said.
