Dana Majhi who carried his wife's corpse on his shoulders for 10 km after being denied a a vehicle for conveying the body by the government hospital in Odisha's Kalahandi district, his daughter Chandini Majhi was among the 2,81,658 girls who cleared the class 10 state board examinations, the results of which were declared on Friday. Chandini, a student of a tribal school run by Bhubaneswar-based Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences (KISS), secured 280 marks out of 600. Supreme Court said CBSE to conduct optional board exams between August 15 and September 15

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is planning to conduct optional board exams any time between August 15 and September 15, for students who are not satisfied with evaluation criteria.The board also said that results for Class 12 Board Examination 2021 will be declared by July 31. Earlier today, the apex court adjourned the hearing on CBSE class 12 evaluation criteria till tomorrow.The court said that in justice it has agreed with the evaluation scheme but will hear the petitioners before giving any suggestion for any changes needed. As per the covid - 19 situation is going on ,West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee had cancelled the board exams of class 10 and 12 on June 7. After cancelling the exams of class 10th and 12th West Bengal has now released the result date.
