Last week, Twitter’s CEO announced that billionaire Elon Musk will be a part of Twitter’s board. Just a week after that incident, Parag Agarwal now says Musk is not in favor of being a part of Twitter’s board but will still play an important role in shaping the company. “Elon is our largest shareholder and we will be open to his input,” Agarwal said in his cutting-edge tweet.
“Elon Musk has determined no longer to be a part of our board. Here’s what I can share about what happened. The Board and I had many discussions about Elon becoming a member of the board, and with Elon directly. We have been excited to collaborate and clear about the risks. We also believed that having Elon as a fiduciary of the enterprise where he, like all board members, has to act in the quality pastimes of the company and all our shareholders, used to be the satisfactory route forward. The board offered him a seat,” Agrawal stated in his modern tweet.
“Elon’s appointment to the board was once officially announced as of 4/9, but Elon shared that same morning that he would no longer be a board member. I believe it’s for the best. We hear from our shareholders whether they’re on our board or not. “Continuously value input and will continue to do so. Elon is our largest shareholder and we will be open to his input,” Agarwal added. Kasturi was appointed to the board once the week was over.
Musk is currently the company’s largest shareholder. Last week, Musk bought a 9.2 percent stake in Twitter. Since then, the billionaire has warned about countless combinations that the platform should bring. One of which was once the edit button, which the agency said was coming to everyone and soon to various types. The function will be tested for Twitter Blue users, which will be monitored through a stable release.
In a series of recent tweets, Musk suggested some changes for Twitter Blue users. In a tweet, he also said that Twitter may also die as a top bill where most followers don’t tweet often. Twitter’s CEO, however, has indicated that the platform will make changes that it deems relevant.
Agrawal said, “there will be distractions ahead, however our desires and priorities remain unchanged. The decisions we make and how we execute is in our hands, no one else’s”. This really shows that Twitter, in no way, will deliver adjustments just due to the fact Musk counseled them, no matter he being the largest shareholder.
