European Leaders Reaffirm Support for Ukraine Amid Tensions with U.S.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in London to participate in a European summit organized by British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. This meeting follows a challenging encounter between Zelenskyy and U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House, which ended on a sour note, raising concerns about the future of U.S.-Ukraine relations amid ongoing conflict with Russia. NATO Secretary-General has urged Zelenskyy to mend ties with Trump. European leaders, including France’s Emmanuel Macron and Germany’s Annalena Baerbock, have reiterated their unwavering support for Ukraine. Macron emphasized that Russian President Vladimir Putin, not Zelenskyy, is risking escalating the conflict. Meanwhile, Hungary’s Prime Minister Viktor Orban has called for peace talks with Russia, highlighting divisions within Europe. Despite these challenges, Zelenskyy expressed gratitude to the American people and emphasized the enduring bond between the nations.
