fifth foundation day of the hospital held at the Health City auditorium today

The aim and objective of Health City Hospital is to provide the best medical services at affordable cost to all. Therefore, along with skilled and dedicated practitioners, state-of-the-art diagnostic systems have been developed under the same roof. It is hoped that the hospital, which was established on October 17, 2017, has attracted the attention and trust of patients in Assam and the North East for the past five years. During this period, an average of 150,000 patients received treatment in the outpatient department of Health City Hospital annually. The hospital’s Medical Director Dr Bhabani Prasad Chakravaty made the announcement at a meeting held on the occasion of the fifth foundation day of the hospital held at the Health City auditorium today.

He added that the Health City, which started with only 150 beds, has today achieved the status of a 200-bed superspecialty hospital. He said thousands of successful heart surgeries have been performed and a second state-of-the-art radiation machine has been installed to speed up the treatment of cancer patients.

The foundation day was marked by the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Awards to two outstanding doctors of the state, Dr. N N Barman, a medical specialist, and Dr. Alaka Goswami, an obstetrician and Gynaecologist, respectively. Speaking as the chief guest, Sahitya Akademi Award winning writer and senior journalist Anuradha Sharma Pujari explained the importance of good coordination between patients, doctors and hospital administration. She expressed her satisfaction that Health City Hospital has been providing excellent services to the patients with great sincerity. The meeting was attended by popular actors Siddharth Sharma (KK) and Deepjyoti Keot (Mohan) of Beharbari Out Post as guests of honour. Health City Hospital Directors Dr. Banasree Das and Anup Poddar, Academic Director Dr Biju Choudhury, Director of Medical Services Dr. Atanu Barthakur, Medical Superintendent Dr Hemjit Talukdar, Dr Bikash Choudhury and other doctors, medical personnel and administrative officers were also present.
