The Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) had approved the procural of fifty six C-295 MW transport craft from the Spain-based airliner Defence and house in Sep 2021.
On identical month, the Defence Ministry signed a contract with the defence company for the acquisition of the craft with associated instrumentation. As a part of this contract, sixteen craft are delivered in fly-away condition associate degreed forty are factory-made by an Indian craft Contractor – the Tata pool junction rectifier by TASL.
When fifty six craft ar delivered to the IAF, the airliner Defence and house are allowable to sell the craft factory-made in Asian country to civil operators and export to countries that ar cleared by the Indian Government.
