Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday addressed the National Labour Conference and said the Union Labour Ministry is working toward developing an imaginative and prescient for 2047, which consists of bendy workplaces and work hours, work-from-home ecosystems, and working stipulations conducive for women.
In the conference, PM Modi said, “In the last eight years, we have brought labor reforms and removed imperialist and regressive labour laws. Through these changes we have ensured basic pay, health insurance schemes and various benefits for workers. Emergency credit line guarantee The scheme has covered 1.5 crore people at some stage of the Covid pandemic.”
The Prime Minister said that EPFO has played an essential role in providing economic security to the labor force in India. “The e-Shram portal is just one more example of how India is working to strengthen the unorganized sector. Those working in fields like building are now availing the benefits of the authority’s schemes,” he said.
