Flipkart, India’s homegrown e-commerce marketplace, today announced a significant expansion of its supply chain infrastructure to strengthen festive readiness for The Big Billion Days 2025. The expansion spans 35 lakh sq. ft. and enhances delivery capabilities across 21,000+ pincodes, with new fulfilment centres and last-mile hubs in Varanasi, Patna, Manesar, Ranchi, Ghaziabad, Agra, and Agartala.
The newly operational facilities include a 2.0 lakh sq. ft. centre in Varanasi generating 3,600 jobs, a 4.5 lakh sq. ft. cornerstone in Patna serving over 1,000 pincodes, and a state-of-the-art 140-acre Regional Distribution Center in Manesar creating 10,000 jobs. In the Northeast, Flipkart has launched its first grocery fulfilment centre in Agartala with a dispatch capacity of 5,000 orders daily. The expansion also covers Guwahati, Singur, and Saidham, strengthening last-mile reach.
The announcement is expected to drive greater e-commerce participation, with improved connectivity reducing delivery timelines and enhancing access to electronics, lifestyle, and grocery categories. Local sellers and logistics providers anticipate increased integration with Flipkart’s national network, boosting regional trade activity. With 2.2 lakh seasonal jobs created and nearly 400 micro-fulfilment centres established across 19 cities, Flipkart reaffirmed its commitment to delivering inclusive, fast, and affordable festive shopping experiences across Bharat.
