Footpath traders have given a memorandum to the District Officer

On Tuesday, footpath traders of Cooch Behar unitedly took out a protest rally. After circumambulating various streets of Cooch Behar, staged a sit-in at the District Magistrate’s office. It is alleged that according to the new rule made by the chairman of the municipality, the footpath traders will have to pay Rs.30. Which is impossible for them.
Angry footpath businessmen took out a protest rally in the city and handed over a memorandum to the District Magistrate’s office. In this regard, a businessman said that earlier he was charged Rs 5, now the municipality president Rabindranath Ghosh has increased it from Rs 5 to Rs 30, which is unable to pay in any way. The traders said that if their demands are not accepted, then all the traders will launch a big agitation and keep the shops closed.
