France and South Africa delegates explores national parks in Assam

A workshop was held under the Indo-Pacific Parks and Biodiversity Partnership for three days from where France and South Africa visited the state, Assam. The partnership is a trilateral collaboration between the AFD (French Development Agency), ONFI (French Forest Service International) and the Assam forest department.

According to the sources, the workshop was held at the Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve on Friday, the partnership aimed at strengthening the biodiversity conservation.

During the workshop, the delegates gained experience such as policies promoting national parks, preventing poaching through enforcement, generating income for community livelihoods for long-term park management, involving local institutions in decision-making, and wildlife monitoring techniques.
