From now students with four year undergraduate degrees can now directly appear for National Eligibility Test (NET) and pursue a PhD, according to UGC Chairman Jagadesh Kumar. Actually to pursue a PhD with or without a Junior Research Fellowship, the candidate will require minimum 75% marks in their course. So far, a candidate for NET actually needed a master’s degree with a minimum 55% marks. This is actually good news as more candidate now will be eligible to appear UGC NET and peruse PhD.

Today students are very serious about their studies and want to do higher studies so that they get a better future. For this reason student should be encouraged to study further and make their life better. Actually UGC NET is very difficult exam and student need to study very hard to pass it. Actually it will be better if you start preparation early and go for your desire score. In reality this step will raise more interest among student to pursue PhD and prepare in their way for the UGC NET.
