FS Kwatra attained the Foreign Office Consultative Meeting

Foreign Secretary Vinay Mohan Kwatra arrived in Dhaka last evening after a two-day official visit to Nepal. Foreign Secretary of Bangladesh Masood Bin Momen welcomed him and he participated in the Foreign Office Consultative Meeting. FS Kwatra participated in the Foreign Office Consultative Meeting. The Indian High Commission in Dhaka tweeted that the two sides reviewed the entire gamut of bilateral partnership, including political, security, trade, investment, defence, connectivity, water, power and sub-regional cooperation.

Foreign Secretary FS Kwatra concluded a meeting with Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Dhaka on Wednesday, reaffirming India’s support for wider and deeper development and economic partnership. The last consultation meeting was held in Delhi in January 2021. FS Kwatra will also meet Bangladesh Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen.

 His meetings with the Bangladeshi leadership are a testament to India’s commitment to its ‘Neighbourhood First Policy’ and ‘Act East Policy’ which puts India’s neighbours at the forefront of Indian foreign policy.
