Governor of Goa P.S Shreedharan Pillai launches ‘Mashaal'(torch) for 37th National Games while addressing a program at Durbar Hall, Donapaula, Goa. The program was organised by the Department of Sports and Youth affairs & the Sports Authority of Goa.
The National Games’ Anthem(theme song) was also revealed by the governor. The song features the voice of legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan and also the anthem includes traditional Goan instrument, the Ghumat and the participation of Goan vocalists which makes it incredible.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant stated that Goa is all set to welcome the National Games and Mashaal will cover all the rural areas of the state and will encourage people to participate in this grand ceremony. The rays of Mashaal will start sparking enthusiasm and excitement within the people by starting a campaign four days before the ceremony.
The game will be conducted from 25th of October till 9th of November.
