Godrej, a leading Indian conglomerate, has provided the much-needed equipment to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) to help enhance the institution’s healthcare facilities, as part of a wider philanthropic effort to make quality health services available to all.

Godrej donated four state-of-the-art anaesthesia machines and twelve cutting-edge OT tables to GMCH’s operating rooms at a cost of 52,93,926/-. This support aims to strengthen the hospital’s ability to cater to the healthcare needs of the community and improve patient care. The new facilities were unveiled in an inauguration ceremony, graced by Assam’s Health Minister Shri Keshab Mahanta. Gayatri Divecha, Head of Corporate Social Responsibility, Godrej Industries and Associate Companies, said, ” Our support aligns with that vision that everyone, regardless of their circumstances, has access to reliable, advanced, and compassionate healthcare.”

The inauguration ceremony, held earlier today at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital, was attended by government officials, and esteemed members of the medical fraternity. The occasion marked the beginning of a new era in healthcare accessibility and reinforced the commitment of both Godrej and GMCH to serve the community.
