Gokula Education Foundation Unveils RISM University to Build Talent for AI, Aerospace Sectors

The Gokula Education Foundation (Medical) on Tuesday announced the launch of the Ramaiah Institute of Science and Management (RISM), a new deemed-to-be university focused on artificial intelligence, aerospace engineering and industry-driven management education in collaboration with the University at Albany.

The university, set to begin its first academic session in August 2026, aims to deliver globally benchmarked and industry-aligned education through undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes across engineering, business and science disciplines.

Initial academic offerings will include B.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence, Aerospace Engineering and Electrical Sciences, along with BBA and MBA courses. The institution said its academic structure has been designed jointly with industry and academic partners to combine interdisciplinary learning with internships, live projects, translational research and industry-sponsored Centres of Excellence.

Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer of Gokula Education Foundation (Medical), Gurucharan Gollerkeri, said the initiative seeks to prepare students for rapidly evolving global industries by integrating technology, business and applied learning models.

University at Albany President Havidán Rodríguez said the partnership would strengthen collaboration in education and research across fields including engineering, computer science, business and nanotechnology.

RISM’s permanent residential campus is being developed near Devanahalli in Bengaluru’s Information Technology Investment Region, while initial operations will commence from a transit campus in Yelahanka.
