Gold Price Today: Gold Shines Above ₹1.55 Lakh as Silver Gains; Check 24K, 22K Gold Rat

Gold prices continued their upward movement on Monday, with futures gaining ₹676 per 10 grams amid steady demand in the spot market. Silver also remained strong, rising nearly 1% in futures trade.

On the MCX, the October gold contract rose 0.44% to ₹1,55,182 per 10 grams. The contract recorded a business turnover of 1,111 lots. According to analysts, fresh buying and position building by traders helped precious metals maintain their upward momentum.

Gold also gained in overseas markets, with New York futures rising 0.40% to $4,394.01 per ounce.

Meanwhile, MCX silver futures for September delivery climbed ₹2,270, or 0.96%, to ₹2,38,194 per kg. The contract saw a turnover of 1,412 lots. Silver prices were supported by fresh positions taken by market participants, while international silver futures gained 1.64% to $65.74 per ounce.

In the domestic retail market, gold prices increased across all major purity levels. According to bullion.co.in, the rate of 24-karat gold was ₹1,55,590 per 10 grams, while 22-karat gold stood at ₹1,42,624 per 10 grams.

For lower purities, 20-karat gold was priced at ₹1,29,658 per 10 grams and 18-karat gold at ₹1,16,693 per 10 grams.
