Sepahijala District Magistrate Sidharth Shiv Jaiswal, IAS, emphasized the importance of punctuality and proper job performance to ensure that the public receives timely benefits and services.

In a press briefing, Jaiswal stated, “The government has set specific timings for employees, and it is crucial that these are followed to ensure dedicated public service. Our objective is to remind government officials and employees of their responsibility to maintain these timings.”

The employees served with show cause notices include those from the District Magistrate’s Office, Sub-divisional Magistrate’s Office, and the Block Development Officer’s Office. Jaiswal highlighted the role of the biometric attendance system, which revealed instances of tardiness among the staff.

“Some employees have been consistently arriving late and not adhering to the set office timings. Hence, we issued show cause notices to 39 employees. This action is aimed at reinforcing punctuality and proper job performance. Public service must be efficient and timely to avoid inconveniencing the public. We have received some responses to the show cause notices and are taking appropriate steps based on these replies,” he added.
