Esther Lalduhawmi Hnamte has been awarded the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2025, India’s highest civilian honor for children. She was recognized by Mizoram Governor General (Dr) Vijay Kumar Singh at Lok Bhavan, Aizawl. Singh praised her achievement as a source of pride for Mizoram and India, urging her to pursue further excellence. The award, given by the Ministry of Women and Child Development, celebrates exceptional accomplishments of children aged 5 to 18 in seven categories, with 20 recipients from 18 States and Union Territories this year. Hnamte received her honor in the Art & Culture category from President Droupadi Murmu on December 26, 2025.
