Govt Pushes Digital Growth Beyond Dhaka

Bangladesh has inaugurated its first major IT hub outside Dhaka, aiming to decentralize the country’s digital economy. The Chattogram hub, spread over 50 acres, will house tech startups, data centers, and training institutes.

ICT State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak said the project will create thousands of jobs and attract foreign investment. The government also announced tax incentives for companies setting up operations in the hub.

For Bangladesh-based readers, this is a landmark in regional development; for Indian and South Asian platforms, it highlights growing digital opportunities in neighboring countries, opening doors for cross-border collaborations in technology.
