Groww accounts for 40% of Arunachal investor base as digital investing gains ground

Digital investing is gaining traction in Arunachal Pradesh, with Groww accounting for 40% of the state’s active investor base on the NSE as of June 2026, according to data released by the investment platform. The figure means that two in every five active investors in the state use Groww for their investment journey.

The development comes amid growing digital connectivity, smartphone adoption and access to financial products across the Northeast. Groww users account for nearly 24% of the NSE’s 36.31 lakh investor base across the eight Northeastern states. Sikkim recorded the highest share at 41%, followed by Arunachal Pradesh at 40% and Tripura at 37%.

In Arunachal Pradesh, around 30% of Groww investors are below 25 years of age, while nearly 31% are aged between 25 and 30, indicating strong participation among younger investors. Women constitute around 28% of Groww’s investor base in the state.

In Itanagar, the growing adoption of digital investment platforms points to increasing accessibility to capital-market products among the state’s younger and digitally connected population. Easier online access could also broaden participation beyond traditional financial centres.

Groww offers products including mutual funds, stocks, IPOs, trading, commodities, MTF, bonds and wealth management solutions. It has also expanded advanced trading tools such as option chains, charts and terminal-based trading for active investors.
